My Dad and stepmom came over yesterday to hang out for a while -- I told Dad about you and your dad, and he gave me an extra, and extra long, hug to send to you. He said, 'I'm 77 years old and I still miss my parents every day, not just 'special' days'. Tell your friend part of the GOOD that's in all this loss is knowing she had a beautiful relationship with her Dad. It's not enough, but it's still something good, and it's a good that stays forever.'
Merry Christmas! My Mom called me on the phone last night, from her bed where just hours before, she couldn't even talk or stay awake. It made my Christmas that she tried so hard to use the phone...to try to talk to me.
