It's been 2 years.
Do you know that there are still over 200 children who do not know where their parents are (and those same parents are still searching for their children)?

Do you know that over 1,600 people were killed because of Hurricane Katrina and the aftermath?

Do you know that over 300,000 homes were destroyed and that over 770,000 people were displaced?

Do you know what's being done about it? Sadly, not much. There are still people homeless. 2 years later...

It's so sad, been thinking a lot about that today.

Wow. Thank you for sharing that. I really didn't know it was that bad still. It makes me so angry and sad and ashamed to be an American. Then you feel helpless in that I can't give money and I can't physically go and help but I guess letter writing and petitions would be something.
